As the winds blow at the very top of the mountains a wondering mountain devil is in search of any signs of cougars or wild cats.He roars hoping some thing will reply but as he lisens its just his eco and silence.

Silence. That was all the young cub could hear. It was deafening, so quiet that it hurt his little ears. So when a loud rour echoed throughout the mountains, a chilled shiver passed through his entire body. What was that? His ears perked. Mother? Where is Mother? he wondered, hoping that whatever was out there would not get to him before his mother returned.

The wind blow through the young cougars coat, her head raised high as she sat on the edge of cliff gazing around. Her ears perked hearing a roar echoing around below the cliffs, she raised her eye brow, and open her jaws roaring back in reply, It echoing beautifully around the cliffs.

The pine marten leapt from the snow and raced up the nearest tree as a loud, echoing and harsh cry swept the chilling landscape. Aramis crouched low on the highest branch and scanned the scenery below him but all he could see was snow, snow and more white snow dotted with cliffs and hillocks. Suddenly his eyes narrowed as a distant speck moved. He almost couldn't see it as the creature was so far away. The pine marten used logic. If the beast was so far away yet still able to be glimpsed them doubtlessly if it were closer it would be even larger. "What could it be?" Aramis mused to himself, hoping that the strange unknown beast could not climb trees.
